A prophecy can be repeated. Nimrod's Babylon was prophetic in its design. He wanted to reach heaven and beyond just like Satan. He strived to be the savior of his people, the world leader. He was a mighty man of his time. And each world kingdom after him, from Egypt through Rome, ran the same way. Each authority figure wanted world dominion, and to be worshiped rather than God.
Some we probably will not be able to figure out such as Revelation chapter 9, the 5th trumpet. So many opinions as to its meaning. Even a link to the locusts of Egypt. But truth is not obvious.

Yes things can seem complex in prophecy but that is why it's important to study continuously.
Things are easier to understand the more you read and put the pieces together.
